About this course
This course provides you with insights on the importance of families, especially the secure attachement between parent and child. It is one that nurtures the physical, emotional, and social development of the child.
This course also describes the use of theories and concepts to enhance the social and emotional development of children. Our focus on virtues in our daily teachings and ways of communicating with children will also be briefly explained. These skills will be further elaborated in the next course Effective Care Giving
What you will learn
On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the role of family in the development of children
- Describe the role facilitators and volunteers play in strengthening family relationships
- Demonstrate child management skills
- Identify and focus on virtues in our daily teachings
- Explain the concepts of Attachment, Adverse Childhood Experiences and Social Emotional Learning
- Model good behaviours for children
