About this course

This is a preparatory course for Chatsafe Training online workshop and forum. The purpose of this preparatory course is to build your fundamental knowledge on the key concepts of Chatsafe guidelines so that you are able to contribute and participate actively in the online workshop and talk. 

Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
  • Explain the concept of Chatsafe
  • Identify the four pillars of Chatsafe guidelines.
  • Identify the resources and support available for Chatsafe and suicide prevention

Effective Learning
For most effective learning experience, follow this instruction:
  • Do not attempt to complete the entire course in one sitting, split the learning into 30-minute sessions daily.

About SOS

Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) is a secular, non-profit suicide prevention centre. Since its establishment in 1969, SOS has developed into a professionally run and managed organisation. It adopts a holistic approach to suicide-related topics, focusing on prevention, intervention and postvention, an intervention conducted after a suicide for loved ones and friends.  
 
With the mission to be an available lifeline to anyone in crisis, SOS offers emotional support to people in crisis, thinking of suicide, or affected by suicide. All information shared with SOS is treated as confidential and people can choose to remain anonymous.
