First Responder on Water Safety program with Singapore Red Cross Academy

SUSS UniLEARN is excited to announce the collaboration with Singapore Red Cross Academy on the First Responder on Water Safety Program, with funding support by SUSS UniLEARN-Temasek Foundation Grant.
While First Aid skills are crucial, water safety is just as essential. Participants would need to attend a 1-hour online learning session which equips them with basic water safety skills and foster a sense of responsibility and confidence to assist in water-related emergencies. On top of that, a 4-hours practical module that helps participants to recognise other swimmers who may need assistance in the water.
Course Aim:
- Increase the wider community’s knowledge of water safety principles.
- Enhance participants’ ability to identify potential hazards and risks in water bodies.
- Equip participants with basic water safety skills to mitigate drowning risks.
- Foster a sense of responsibility and confidence in assisting others in water-related emergencies.
This program is open to everyone—regardless of your swimming proficiency!
